Roosting
Read More12 / 400
Part of a colony of tens of thousands of Cave nectar bats (Eonycteris spelaea) found roosting in the entrance to Khao Chong Pran Cave in Thailand in 1981. Throughout much of Southeast Asia, these key pollinators are declining at alarming rates. They are over-harvested for food and killed by naive orchardists and careless cave destruction. Their loss threatens the multi-billion durian fruit industry as well as natural ecosystems, such as mangroves. Roosting, Conservation
