A Geoffroy's tailless bat (Anoura geoffroyi) is pollinating a Siphocampylus flower in southern Ecuador. This little known plant genus includes 200 species distributed in mountainous regions of Costa Rica and Panama and in the Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia. The plant S. giganteus is found only in Colombia and Ecuador. It appears to rely primarily on bats for pollination. Pollination
