A heart-nosed bat (Cardioderma cor), perched, waiting for prey in Kenya. This species forms small colonies in caves located in subtropical and tropical dry forests and shrublands of equatorial East Africa. It feeds like a flycatcher bird, capturing large insects and possibly some small vertebrates, as it hears them passing. This one is eating a cricket. Catching Prey
