Tricolored bat (Perimyotis subflavus) hibernating in Hubbard's Cave, Tennessee. This species preferentially hibernates where condensation occurs on it's fur, helping prevent dehydration and during arousal the bat will sometimes drink the water from it's fur. The orange forearm on black wing membrane is distinctive for this species, identifying it from all other bats found within it's range.
