An endangered Lesser long-nosed bat (Leptonycteris yerbabuenae) pollinating a Saguaro cactus (Carnegiea gigantea) in Mexico. Many species of cactus plants rely on bats as primary pollinators, and often also as seed dispersers. Decline of nectar-feeding bats can threaten the health of whole desert ecosystems.
